Upcoming Charity Auction – Spring 2018

So many have sacrificed for this country defending our freedom and way of life and I want to do a little something to help show my appreciation for that beyond just thanking veterans for their service – a charity auction.

Items: Various Handmade Items

About the money: 100% of the proceeds will go to the charity. I am covering the costs of materials as part of my donation on top of matching up to $200 of the total winning bids. Winner pays for shipping of their item(s).

Backstory

Last November I wanted to build something just to build it. Then I thought, “Why not build for a charity auction?”

I’ve been called a cynic. That’s probably true. But after learning about Operation Homefront and doing my research (Charity Navigator), I decided to reach out and partner up with them for this auction.

Timing

I am planning on doing this in early Spring 2018. Why not now? I’m wrapping up some projects that are already on the books. I also plan on producing videos featuring the making of the items that will be in the auction. Video production slows down actual production and I want to make sure they are given the attention they deserve (both the products and the videos).
